Default Updated DirectX 9 (April) Released

Microsoft has released updated version of Direct X 9 - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

It contains all pervious DX "Managed" code including the new April. Managed code is only required if the game uses it. Aka MS makes new things at developers request that is not in the DX 9 standard and give it to everyone to use.

If you want to verify your DX is fine or plan on running on newer games, you may want to grab it.

Thanks Eternal for letting us know, downloading now.

Wonder if it'll stop my CSS stuttering?

Well it says it was released 6th April 2006 (yesterday) so you might've just got it then.

There were 18 files updated (I had the Feburary Redist installed) according to dxdiag.

And one of them is DirectSound. The others is DirectInput, DirectPlay and DirectDraw. The rest were Direct3D related.
